My appeal to rods & customs began during my teen years of working at the local Western Auto and running a small speed and custom shop from my parent’s two-car garage. After getting married and starting a family, my wife, Joyce, and I owned and operated our own Western Auto store for sixteen years.

In 1986, we founded Wirth's Custom Automotive giving us the opportunity to combine our automotive interests and years of experience in retail with an attention to personal customer service. Wirth's Custom Automotive offers an extensive collection of parts and accessories for rods and customs and we are continually adding new items. We offered our first catalog in 1995 and launched our website in 2000, all the while building a reliable, national and international mail-order service. We also continue to enjoy attending and vending at numerous events each year, catching up with longtime friends and meeting new ones.

We’re fortunate that Wirth’s Custom Automotive continues to grow from the active support from our son, Mike, and his wife, Tammy, down in Texas and for our daughter, Karen and her husband, Joe that help keep things running smooth locally.
